Reviewed and critically evaluated available data on the relationship between blood and brain cholinesterase levels and biological effects of cholinesterase-inhibiting pesticides. The result was a series of recommendations to a state agency on methods to assess health effects of cholinesterase inhibitors.
Performed human health and environmental risk assessments for sites in Texas using TCEQ, formerly TNRCC, Risk Reduction Rules and USEPA Region VI guidance.
Criticially examined and used the biokinetic model for predicting blood lead levels and clean-up levels for lead in various media for a variety of projects.
Designed and implemented a health risk study for a city in Texas concerning resident's exposures to lead emissions from an industrial facility. Results of the study were communicated to both state a regulators and the public.
Reviewed water criteria documents for state and federal jurisdictions for a paper and pulp manufacturer. Chemicals considered included metals, chlorinated organics, biological effluents.
