IB's partners have assisted clients in navigating the International community regulations by:

Developed a mechanistically-based approach for regulating an essential trace element for an international trade association.  Tasks have included preparing position papers on risks of essential elements, presentations to and meetings with US and EU regulators, preparation of EU-based risk assessments, and working with trade association members and academic molecular biologists to develop a coordinated research program integrating epidemiology, clinical medicine, traditional toxicology and molecular studies to aid in developing a biologically-based risk assessment for deficiency and excess.

Designed and developed a database used by an multinational food company that tracks toxicological activity and allowable residue values for pesticides on fresh fruits and vegetables.

Prepared summary white papers on the state-of-the-science for endocrine disruptors for various US and international industry groups (US, Canada, Australia, EU).

For a manufacturer of specialty chemicals, performed a complete review of toxicological and exposure data to develop a risk-based strategy for world-wide strategic regulatory policy for occupational exposures.

Provided ad hoc technical expertise to a large multi-national food company on issues related to both worker and consumer safety.
