IB’s Partners work with clients to develop scientifically-based solutions for clients interacting with FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.  Examples of successful projects include:

Developing the technical approach for the first approval of a genetically-engineered whole food

Preparation of several GRAS affirmations and food additive petitions, including assembling expert panels for reviews.

Evaluation of potential BSE-related risks from gelatin products, including work with international trade groups to revise risk assessments and prepare a pro-active risk-based approach to US marketing.

Analysis of product contents for purposes of compliance with California’s Proposition 65.
